Independent Pageant Directors of Hawaiian Tropic^® host approximately 300 preliminary pageants nationwide. Some preliminary pageants culminate with state finals, while many send their winners directly to the United States Finals. Over 100 young ladies from across the United States will compete for the four finalists' positions. These four finalists will represent the United States in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic^® International Pageant in the Spring of the following year.
